The Faculty of Arts is happy to announce the winners of the FoA Award of Excellence for Administrative and Support Staff for 2019-2021. This year, exceptionally, two members of our Faculty are receiving the award. The Committee wishes to express how impressed it was with the quality of the nominations and the amount of dedication apparent in all the files that were submitted.
After careful review, the Committee has selected Iain Blair, Administrative Officer for the Institute for the Study of International Development, as the recipient of the Managerial Staff Award and Tara Alward, Graduate Program Coordinator for the Department of Political Science, for the Clerical/Technical Staff Award.
The Awards Committee would like to highlight the following citations made in support of Iain and Tara's nominations:
Iain Blair:
“Iain’s presence at ISID is the organizational backbone that keeps the institute going…., …serves as an informal advisor for strategic planning on many of ISID’s long-term programs.
Given his many years at ISID and his role in virtually all the institute’s programs, Iain Blair has become a repository of institutional memory…, …as the backbone of ISID, Iain provides the institute with a solid foundation for continuity and, above all, growth.”
Tara Alward:
