Assistant Professor Camille Owens spoke about her latest book for the Faculty of Arts' Faculty Publication Spotlight!

"I wrote this book as a way to find historical answers to contemporary questions about childhood and race in America. In the last decade in the US and Canada, there have been important conversations raised about the status and treatment of black children, especially with regard to police killings of black children, and the wider systemic harms that black children face."
