91ÉçÇø offers a 45-credit graduate programÌýin the field of biotechnology, aÌýMaster of Science (Applied) in BiotechnologyÌýof 45 credits. The program is coordinated by the Institute of Parasitology on the Macdonald campus of 91ÉçÇø.
The MScA program provides training in a rapidly evolving field that has become an integral component in the thinking and methodology of many science disciplines. It is addressed to students with an undergraduate degree in biological sciences or closely related fields, who are interested in industrial/pharmaceutical research.
The typical program sequence for the MSc Applied in Biotechnology is carried out over four terms (16 months): Fall (full-time), Winter (full-time), Summer (full-time), Fall (part-time, to complete remaining course work and optional lab work part of an extended Research Project Internship). There are no scheduled breaks in the program.
CoursesÌýare offered on either the downtown 91ÉçÇø campus or the Macdonald campus, depending on the offering Faculty. Courses from the Faculty of Medicine or Science are offered on the downtown campus, and those in the Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences are offered on the Macdonald campus. A shuttle bus connecting both campuses facilitates student's travelling.
The MScA program has a limited enrolment and therefore admission is competitive.
If you are looking for a traditional Thesis Master of Science program, other 91ÉçÇø academic units are involved in research in fields associated with biotechnology. For more information, please visit theÌýFuture Graduate StudentsÌý±è²¹²µ±ð.
