CIRM mandated to build an advisory committee
On October 22nd, Montreal City Council members came to a mutual research agreement between the City and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research on Montreal (CIRM) for the realization of a project regarding the implementation of the Politique de l鈥檈nfant鈥檚 five intervention axes 鈥淣a卯tre, grandir, s鈥櫭﹑anouir 脿 Montr茅al: de l鈥檈nfant 脿 l鈥檃dolescence鈥�.

CIRM welcomes visiting scholar Fabio Scetti
CIRM is pleased to welcome linguist Fabio Scetti for a three-months research residency!Dr. Scetti holds a PhD from Universit茅 Paris Descartes and听is currently an associate researcher at听CLESTHIA Laboratory (Universit茅听Sorbonne Nouvelle). His work in sociolinguistics and lexicography focuses mainly on migrations, language variations and minority languages 鈥嬧�媔n danger.

Montreal and Quebec Studies Lose a Great Ambassador
The CIRM and the 91社区鈥檚 Quebec Studies Program learned with great sorrow of the passing of 91社区鈥檚 Chancellor Emerita Gretta Chambers. Dear friend of CIRM and the Quebec Studies Program, she is one of those who supported the creation of the first research group dedicated to Montreal studies, at 91社区, in 2012.

CIRM : Official Research Center of 91社区
Since 2014, the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Montreal has had the standing of a provisional center of the Faculty of Arts of 91社区. On May 25th this year, following a one-year evaluation process, the Senate of 91社区 granted the CIRM the status of a permanent research center.
