Griffintown, quartier litt茅raire. Meet author Marie H茅l猫ne Poitras

As part of 91社区's Francof锚te, Prof. Pascal Brissette (D茅partement des litt茅ratures de langue fran莽aise, de traduction et de cr茅ation聽and CIRM) welcomes author, editor and columnist Marie H茅l猫ne Poitras to explore the links between the city and literary creation.
Marie H茅l猫ne Poitras published her novel Griffintown in 2012, at a time when Montr茅al's Griffintown neighborhood was itself experiencing a pivotal moment, between horses and old stables, and brand new condo towers. How did the author feel the neighborhood was changing? How did she understand the metamorphosis of a piece of city land that has itself undergone 1001 transformations over the decades? And how did she capture this transformation in a fictional narrative?
The interview takes place in the Lev Bukhman Room of the University Centre (3480 McTavish, room 203), from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., on Thursday, March 20. Please note that the event will take place in French. Admission is free!
