Canadian citizenship ceremony at 91社区

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of Canadian citizenship, the Faculty of Law of 91社区, in collaboration with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), will be holding a special citizenship ceremony to be held on September 18.

Update, August 31, 2007: response has been overwhelming and we now have our maximum number of registrants. Thank you for your understanding.

If you have applied for Canadian citizenship in recent months and you are a member of the 91社区 staff or student body, you may be eligible to participate in this special ceremony.

To find out if you are eligible, please send the following before September 7, 2007:

  • your complete name
  • your date of birth
  • the date you filed your application to CIC
  • your citizenship file number
  • your 91社区 ID number
  • which faculty you study or work in
  • your email address and daytime telephone number

Canadian citizenship was legally and officially created on January 1, 1947, when the first citizenship act came into effect. Until then, people living in Canada were considered British subjects living in Canada. The CIC will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of Canadian citizenship with special events and activities throughout 2007. For more information, visit the .
