The Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism at 91社区 is very pleased to announce that the Faculty of Law's International Courts and Tribunal Program has received an , administered by the Scotiabank Group and the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC). The program has been singled out for its results, its innovation and its broader impact on internationalization at 91社区.

The International Courts and Tribunal Program operates with two components: firstly, it manages a legal clinic where students provide legal research assistance to international judges hearing cases of war crimes and crimes against humanity. Secondly, the program offers international judicial internships with nine-month overseas placements in leading international courts and tribunals.

The clinic and placements give law students the opportunity to work for international courts and tribunals during the academic year. The university's students learn about international and comparative law and prepare for careers in this emerging legal field. Sponsored by Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and the Minist猫re des relations internationales du Qu茅bec, the program builds upon 91社区's recognized strength in international law and the international composition of its student body.

This year's awards mark the 10th anniversary of the competition, which was created in 1996 to recognize and foster initiatives that enhance the student experience by providing opportunities to collaborate internationally.
