Pierre-Hugues Verdier becomes a Trudeau Foundation Scholar

We were delighted to hear that alumnus Pierre-Hugues Verdier has been named a Trudeau Scholar for his research project entitled "Extraterritorial Jurisdiction and Customary International Law: A Reappraisal." It is an assessment of the current state of international customary law with respect to the legality of extraterritorial acts, stressing its uncertain nature. He questions how interdisciplinary research, particularly in the field of international relations, can shed light on jurisdictional issues related to economic globalization.
