Slew of new titles, careers in music, and free stuff

Published: 13 March 2009

Summer will soon be here and many of you are looking for summer jobs or embarking upon careers. We've been busy acquiring new resources to help you along.

The Chronicle of Higher Education, Canada Employment Weekly and International Career Employment Weekly are weekly subscriptions; use these resources to locate jobs in industry and academia globally. These are available in under the 'Documents' tab. Click on ‘Career Resources’. Under the ‘Type’ drop-down menu, choose ‘CaPS- Subscription’ and then click on ‘Apply Search’. In addition to being available in a downloadable digital edition on myFuture, website is available to the entire 91ÉçÇø community via the network/VPN. Canada Employment Weekly and International Career Employment Weekly are available in PDF format through myFuture.

In addition, the latest issues of Artsboard, Current Jobs in Liberal Arts, Qui Fait Quoi (media and culture industry in Québec) and Job Postings are now available. You'll find the first two in PDF on myFuture whereas Qui Fait Quoi may be consulted in the Resource Centre. Copies of Job Postings are in a rack just outside of the CaPS office, along with many other free publications.

Speaking of free publications, you will find many pamphlets, flyers and maybe even promotional goods in the cabinets to your right as you enter the CaPS office. Feel free to open the drawers and explore- if you're looking for a summer job, internship or study/work abroad information, this is an excellent place to begin. We receive promotional materials from organisations on a weekly basis so check back often.
