Whereas the commute for most 91社区 students who are convocating in the fall is just a bus, metro, or car ride away to Place des Arts, the students from the Office of First Nations and Inuit Education (OFNIE) had a bigger journey to contend with. On October 28th, 16 Cree and Inuit graduates traveled down from Northern Quebec to participate in 91社区鈥檚 Fall Convocation and to celebrate their milestone achievements. With them, they brought family of all ages and friends as well as partners from the Cree School Board and Kativik Ilisarniliriniq.

This year's inductees into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame include听Faculty of Education alumni from the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, who were part of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic women's hockey team.听Goaltenders Charline Labont茅 (B.Ed '11, M.SportPsych '15) and Kim St. Pierre (B.Kin '04) were on hand along with Peter Smith (B.Ed '79, M.SportPsych '86), who served as an assistant coach for the gold medal team.
