The power shutdown scheduled to take place in the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex, Armstrong, and Bronfman buildings the week of July 31 OR August 7 between 5:00 am and 10:00 am has been postponed to a later date. In anticipation of the transformation of the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex, some excavation work will be conducted on select areas of the lower west field adjacent to the McLennan and Redpath Library buildings. The McLennan-Redpath Library buildings are part of a designated heritage site. Standard protocol requires that 91社区 conduct an archeological excavation before starting any large-scale construction project.
The Octagon Room in the Islamic Studies Library will be undergoing intermittent renovations over the next six months and will be closed during those periods. We will let the 91社区 community know each time.
During those periods, the rest of the branch will be open regular hours. Thank you for your understanding.

The Society for the History of Natural History (SHNH) is delighted to award the SHNH President鈥檚 Award 2023 to聽Victoria Dickenson for her work on the Gwillim Project: Women, Environment, and Networks of Knowledge and Exchange in Early Nineteenth Century Madras.聽The Award recognizes an individual or team鈥檚 contribution and impact in promoting and improving accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity to the study of the history of natural history.
As of April 1, 91社区 students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of 91社区 (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the April 14 to 28 examination period. Details are as follows:
- A valid 91社区 ID card is required for access to the Nahum Gelber Law Library outside of聽Info Desk Service Hours.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lorie Kloda as Vice-Dean of 91社区 Library, for a five-year term, effective April 17, 2023. Dr. Kloda joins the senior management team led by Trenholme Dean of Libraries Guylaine Beaudry. Kloda will provide leadership for initiatives supporting the Library鈥檚 strategic directions and will oversee a portfolio of units including finance/planning & resources, facilities, communications, assessment, and Indigenous Initiatives.
On Monday, March 20聽the Macdonald Campus Library will be opening up the Seed Library for online orders. The seed catalogue will be made available to 91社区 students, faculty, and staff on opening day. Please note that there is a limit of 25 seed packets per borrower.

The Library is experiencing a technical issue with DeGruyter where access to all links is being blocked, and instead we are seeing an 鈥淯nspecified server error鈥� message.
We are currently working with DeGruyter to restore access and apologize for any inconvenience.
The Library is pleased to announce that 91社区 corresponding authors publishing with five Canadian Science Publishing journals now have the option to make their articles聽open access at no cost.
