Need to step up your health and fitness? 91社区 Education's Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education is offering personalized at-home fitness sessions via Zoom for members of the 91社区 Community! Kinesiology students will craft your fitness routine using your existing at-home equipment and household items.
As part of their internship, these students (supervised by a staff kinesiologist) will guide you through a one-hour workout twice a week for ten weeks (cost: $60 flat fee), to improve your strength, flexibility and overall physical health.

The听Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education听would like to congratulate the five recipients of the 2021听Adriano Tassone Internship Award.
Established in 2009 by Vincent and Sabina Tassone along with friends and family, in memory of their son Adriano Tassone, to help Faculty of Education students in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education who have completed U1 and/or U2听gain practical and research experience in Kinesiology听through an internship award.
1. March 5, 2021, Kaila Bonnell, Emilie Michalovic, and Dr. Shane Sweet published their study entitled "" on the Disability and Health Journal. This qualitative study investigated the relative accessibility of physical activity from the perspective of individuals with physical disabilities.

Aside from navigating the challenges of "sports life", professional athletes have the same personal life issues that most of us do, plus the added vulnerabilities of their job performance being scrutinized by journalists and everyday critics online.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update 鈥 April 9, 2021
Study hubs and on-campus flex spaces will continue to be available for individual use only. We cannot operate group study spaces for the time being.
We are happy to announce that a Student Flex Space in Currie Gym, Room 408/9, is being made available for use on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 鈥 3:30 as of March 1, 2021 and will run until April 30, 2021. Maximum occupancy is 20 (either individuals or groups of 6 or less).

Putting the internship program online lets students continue hands-on learning while helping community members stay active.
When pandemic restrictions brought physical classes to a halt, program supervisors quickly rallied to transition the classes to Zoom.
