Established聽in 1997 by the Education Undergraduate Society in memory of Chantal Malard, a former Education student. Awarded to a student who has demonstrated聽artistic ability,聽leadership qualities,聽and involvement in聽volunteer activities聽while maintaining a聽high academic standing聽(e.g. at least 3.50 CGPA).
The Phyllis Shapiro Award was established by family, 91社区 colleagues, friends and the University to honour the memory of an exceptional teacher and lecturer, Dr. Phyllis Shapiro, Dip.Ed.'56. Granted by the Faculty of Education's Committee on Student Affairs in the name of Phyllis Shapiro, to recognize excellence in teaching.
Congratulations to Yasmine Coovadia, who completed her Master鈥檚 of Science degree in Exercise Physiology based on her work in the Cardiovascular Health and Autonomic Regulation Laboratory (CHARLab) under the supervision of Dr. Charlotte Usselman.
Yasmine鈥檚 thesis was entitled, 鈥�Beat by beat fluctuations in blood pressure during acute sympatho-inhibition: The effect of sex鈥�.

Spinal Cord聽is the official journal of the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS), publishing research on spinal cord anatomy, physiology and management of injury and disease for over聽50 years.
