French for Healthcare Professionals

French for Healthcare Professionals courses are designed for current or future professionals in the healthcare field who wish to acquire speaking and listening skills and use French more confidently. The courses are aimed at helping students acquire the oral communication skills needed to function effectively in French in work-related settings. Participants will develop vocabulary, grammatical structures, and communication strategies through active, task-based learning activities based on professional scenarios in the healthcare sector. The courses are offered 100% online for maximum flexibility and accessibility. Asynchronous courses let students build skills by working with online content according to their own schedule. Synchronous courses provide real-time interaction with the instructor, with peers, and with specially-trained conversation partners to practice and build fluency.

    Course Descriptions

The training consists of two courses at each level (students must pass both courses to move to the next level):

    • Virtual face-to-face courses (synchronous mode) are delivered by a teacher on a fixed date, at a specific time, three hours per week, for a period of 8 weeks. These courses focus on oral communication.
    • Self-directed online courses(asynchronous mode) are divided into 4 modules spread out over an 8-week period. Each module lasts approximately two weeks and consists in structured learning units that allow students to work independently (lessons, exercises, pronunciation, listening, reference material, etc.) and to communicate with a tutor.

Please note that the content of all our courses is exclusively in French and focuses on the approach to health care professionals.
