ACCT 695 Integrative Analysis. (4 credits)

Integration of the enabling competencies and the six technical competency areas required of a CPA. Developing strategic leadership capabilities and the ability to bring an integrative perspective to decision-making including: professional and ethical behaviour, problem-solving and decision-making, communication (both written and oral), self-management, teamwork and leadership.

Methods of budgeting in the health care system and evaluating health care investment proposals. Problems of benefit measurement and optimal public investment in relation to fiscal and political constraints. This includes the role of governmental expenditures, the public debt, private contributions in the health care system.

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts, theories, and approaches of financial management. It will introduce basic accounting principles and practices underlying financial statements of organizations and will provide tools and techniques to help interpret balance sheets and operating statements.
CBUS 007 Fundamentals of Marketing. (14 credits)
This course will provide an overview of the fundamental concepts, theories, and approaches in marketing. Topics include: basic marketing concepts, market analysis, market research, marketing strategies, product, promotion, positioning, price and distribution. Readings and cases are used to help students apply these concepts in a variety of business settings.
CBUS 008 Fundamentals of Organizational Behaviour. (14 credits)
This course will provide an overview of the fundamental concepts, theories, and approaches in organizational behaviour. Focus is on individual and group levels of behaviour in organizations. Topics covered include: perception, learning, personality, motivation, leadership, group behaviour, decision-making, conflict management, negotiation, and organizational goals and structure.

An overview of fundamental concepts and approaches in workplace learning and knowledge management. Topics include: understanding workplace learning concepts, work and learning trends, workplace environments and relationships, roles, rights and responsibilities of employers and employees, strategies used by organizations to retain important knowledge assets, self-management, organizational skills and transferrable skills.
CBUS 011 Fundamentals of International Finance. (14 credits)
The course explores the international financial environment as it affects the manager of a multinational organization. Topics include the various balance of payments concepts, adjustment of the external balance, the international monetary systems and a review of theory and institutional aspects of the foreign exchange and international markets.
CBUS 012 Fundamentals of International Marketing. (14 credits)
An overview of the key considerations for businesses and entrepreneurs who want to expand their markets globally. Practical hands-on exposure to marketing challenges, key strategic issues that confront international marketers and the impact of technology on the marketing world. Case studies will demonstrate the important role that cultural and environmental issues play in making sound international marketing decisions.
CBUS 208D1 Facilitation for Results. (8 credits)
Principles for effective facilitation largely developed and tested in the real business world, including tools and techniques at our disposal to become effective facilitators. Topics include: best practices, strategic planning, team dynamics, decision making strategies, project and requirements facilitation, problem identification and solving, focus group facilitation, workshop facilitation.
