Congratulations to Basem Danish on his first place finish in the Network of Canadian Oral Health Research Video Contest! His video titled “Inequalities in oral health and access to dental services among Canadians” was selected by the judges as the best video in the category Impact of Canadian Oral Health Research. The judges esteemed that Danish’s video was very engaging to watch, a timely and polished video and very informative. He won the national competition with 398 votes from the public as best video and based on the judging criteria. The purpose of the competition was to raise awareness among the general public of the scope and breadth of oral health research, and the impact of oral health research on society. Congratulations also to second place winners (it was a tie) Amrita Kumari for her video “Oral Submucous Fibrosis Awareness” and Ahad Ahmed for his video “Experience of living with chronic orofacial pain and patients’ experiences of its treatments”.
