Rami Aslan

Rami worked for over 25 years in North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa. After starting his banking career in Canada working for TD Bank covering the Real Estate and Technology sectors, Rami joined Citigroup where he focused mainly on the telecommunication and information technology sectors out of London, Bahrain and later Dubai. In 2005 Rami joined the Oger Group where he headed the M&A and Corporate Finance activities concluding transactions exceeding US$25BN in value.
In 2011, Rami served as CEO & Executive Board Member of Oger Telecom Ltd., a holding company in DIFC/Dubai that managed operations in the Middle East, E.Europe and South Africa. In addition to this role, he later assumed an operational role as CEO [2013-2017] and Executive Board Member [2011-2018] of the largest Telecom Operator in Turkey, TurkTelekom, one of the largest publicly trading companies in the Istanbul stock exchange with 35k employees serving over 40m customers. During his tenure, Mr. Aslan managed to integrate several independent operations and streamline revenue and cost functions leading to major and sustainable efficiencies and top-line growth that well exceeded regional peers and global integrated operators.
Rami served on several other boards of Oger Group of companies and affiliates including, Avea (Mobile) and TTNET (Internet) in Turkey, Cell-C (mobile) in South Africa, Oger Telecom in the UAE. He also later chaired the boards of Innova (system integrator), Argela (R&D), Sebit (e-Education), Assist (call centre), as well as TT International and other operations in Austria, Hungary, Jordan and Lebanon.
As of 2018, in addition to co-founding and supporting VC initiatives in digitalisation, education and healthcare, as well as private equity initiatives in the Real Estate sector, Rami remains highly focused on supporting the less fortunate communities and dedicates time and effort in facilitating more opportunities and guidance to help the youth in working towards a better future.
Rami holds his Bachelor degree with a major in Management Information Systems (B.Comm’94), and Masters (MBA’97) from 91ÉçÇø.
