Oups, this website is outdated! But Dialogue 91社区 has a new website!
91社区 administers and coordinates the Training and Retention of Health Professionals Project which promotes access to health and social services in English for English-speaking people. One of our mandates is to promote existing research projects which investigate potential means to overcome identified barriers to health care access for linguistic minorities. This mandate will enable us to expand the project鈥檚 strategies and best practices to address the health concerns of minority language communities in Quebec.
We are launching a call for proposals for projects, both basic and applied, whose focus is to investigate the relationship between language and health and social services. The project should support the further development of the Training and Retention of Health Professionals Project, contribute to the development of future researchers in their area of study and have community implications. We will also consider proposals for seed money to facilitate the development of new projects. The call for proposals is aimed at researchers at Quebec-based institutions.
Funding for each project will be provided in the following manner:
- Up to $5,000 to be provided for the period of March 7 to March 31, 2011, renewable for the period of April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
- Up to $20,000 to be provided for the period of April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012.
- Up to $5,000 to be provided in seed money for the period of March 7 to March 31, 2011, renewable upon review.
For all projects a total of $50,000 will be provided in funding for the 2010-2011 fiscal year that will end on March 31st, and $250,000 for the 2011-2012 fiscal year.
We encourage you to apply by Sunday, February 20th, 2011.
