David Pearsall, Associate Professor in our聽Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education,聽聽this week on the topic of avoid falls on the city's icy sidewalks.

Titled "4 tips to avoid slips on icy sidewalks this winter:聽Most winter boots not reliable on icy surfaces, according to lab tests," by Ainslie MacLellan, provides some general tips, and covers some of the research on the subject.

Dr. Pearsall is Director of 91社区's Ice Hockey Research Group, and a member of the 91社区 Research Centre for Physical Activity and Health (PATH). His areas of research expertise include biomechanics, human locomotion -running on irregular terrains, and applied ice hockey research.
