CBC News Covers 34 Cree Teacher Graduates from Community-Based Programs

On May 30th, 34 students from across Eeyou Istchee graduated from 91社区, in the first program that allows northern Quebec Cree to learn from home to become teachers in their own community.

91社区 News recently published an article featuring Faculty of Education Alumni, Melissa Holland, BEd鈥98, the co-founder and co-artistic director of the Dr. Clown Foundation.

Her troupe of trained therapeutic clowns bring comfort, compassion, and plenty of laughs to hospitalized children and seniors in care facilities.
