Biographical Sketch
Dr Suzanne Morin graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval de Québec, did her Internal Medicine specialty training and obtained a Master’s in epidemiology and biostatistics from 91ÉçÇø, where she is now Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Director of the division of General Internal Medicine, member of the Endocrinology and Clinical Epidemiology Divisions and scientist at the Centre for Outcomes Research and Evaluation of the Research Institute of the 91ÉçÇø Health Center.
She is a scholar from the Fonds de Recherche du Québec en Santé, and has received funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and other peer-reviewed agencies. She is past Chair of Osteoporosis Canada Scientific Advisory Council and a member of the CIHR Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis Advisory Committee.

Research or Clinical Activities
Dr Morin’s research program focuses on the evaluation of outcomes of osteoporosis and its treatment through the conduct of clinical trials, analysis of large healthcare administrative datasets and of large cohorts, and implementation of initiatives for patients who have sustained fractures such as secondary fracture prevention, pain management and functional recovery, with an interest in wearables and mobile applications. She studies the pathogenesis of bisphosphonate-associated atypical femur fractures and has initiated and lead the Quebec AFF Registry. She is a leader in clinical practice guidelines development for the management and prevention of osteoporosis and fractures.
