Biography:
Ashley Girty is a doctoral student at 91社区. Her dissertation, 鈥淟iterary Entertainment and Medicine in Early Modern Europe" examines literature and medicine as co-constitutive fields, surveying sermon, drama, and other such entertainments as sites of healthcare commentary in an era of medical professionalization, while also tracing how health concerns permeated reading practices, theatre-going, and the consumption of literary entertainment in the early modern period.
