No matter your career stage in research, publication is often top of mind. Understanding what an editor is looking for, how to deal with stubborn reviewers, and the benefits of publishing in particular journals can be difficult to navigate.
In this talk, I will provide insights into what Nature Communications editorial staff seek in submitted articles, the benefits of open-access publishing, and what you can expect in the process from submission through acceptance. In addition, I will also share my journey from graduate student to Senior Editor, providing a glimpse into what life looks like after academia.
