To be eligible for this program, you must be enrolled in a 91社区 degree program for the duration of your internship. This program is open to undergraduate students U2 and above and graduate students at any level. All disciplinary backgrounds are welcome to apply.

Please submit your application via this form: . The form only accepts one application per student. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
The application contains the following sections:
Applicant contact and academic information.聽Your Student ID, email address, program of study, etc.
Project selection.聽Applicants may select up to two projects and must explain their interest and qualifications for each.
Program fit. Applicants will be asked to describe their learning objectives, career goals, and time management skills.
Supporting documents. Applicants must submit the documents listed below. Please follow the naming conventions in application form to facilitate the application review process.
- A current CV.
- An electronic copy of post-secondary transcripts. An official transcript is not required. Unofficial copies must clearly indicate the source of information (e.g. Minerva).
- Proof of enrolment for the Winter 2025 semester. Please consult the instructions for generating your proof of enrolment聽letter.
- One letter聽of recommendation (academic and/or employment), in English or French. Letters must be emailed to studentadmin.ihsp [at] mcgill.ca directly. Please instruct your references to include your full name and "reference letter" in the subject line of their email, and to send it by the deadline listed above.
- Supplementary documents, as needed. It is the applicant's responsibility to verify whether the projects they have applied for require an additional submission. You can find this information on the Projects tab.

Selection Criteria
Applications are evaluated based on:
- Completion: The applicant submitted a complete application on time.
- Fit for the project: The applicant meets the requirements outlined by the Faculty member in their project description.
- Fit for the program: Through their application, the聽applicant shows how participating in this program will advance their own future endeavours and demonstrates their capacity to dedicate 12聽hours per week to the research project and training.聽
Review Process
All complete applications will be reviewed by the Student Affairs Administrator and Faculty supervisors. Faculty supervisors may identify a shortlist of candidates they would like to interview. Selections are finalized following the interview period.
