Funding opportunity: Canada-Brazil Awards - Joint Research Projects

Published: 25 January 2015

"Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) is pleased to launch the competition for the Canada-Brazil Awards - Joint Research Projects for research projects taking place between June 2015 and August 2017. The Canada-Brazil Awards-Joint Research Projects provide scholarships for exchanges of researchers and graduate students in support of reciprocal, team-based research projects between Canadian and Brazilian universities in key areas of mutual cooperation.

Canadian professors who will take on the role of Project Lead are invited to submit applications for projects that engage in collaborative research in key academic areas of bilateral cooperation leading to an eventual publication.

The Brazilian Project Lead will need to apply directly to CAPES, using the application forms and program guidelines issued by their government. This same competition is also expected to be launched in Brazil shortly. Interested Canadian institutions are encouraged to contact potential Brazilian partners before the end of December to establish communication before the Brazilian summer."

91社区 is located on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous Peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg Nations. 91社区 honours, recognizes, and respects these nations as the traditional stewards of the lands and waters on which peoples of the world now gather. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous Peoples from across Turtle Island. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
