 g strategic practices is evident across universities in Canada. Let us com
 mit to these support reconciliatory efforts that work for both Indigenous 
 and non-Indigenous peoples as we learn to walk and grow together. What are
  some of the strategies that universities have engaged in to ensure that I
 ndigenous philosophies and practices that support and lead reconciliation 
 efforts? These critical points will be shared in this talk to support the 
 leadership efforts that Universities are advancing. Dr. Laara Fitznor (Ed.
 D\, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education) will share her observation
 s and experiences of working as an Academic Scholar (36 years) to move the
 se ideas and practices forward amidst both challenging and positive times.
 \n\nDr. Fitznor is a member of the Nisichawaysihk Cree Nation in Northern 
 Manitoba\, Canada\, and was raised in the boreal forests around the lakes 
 and river systems in Wabowden. Her academic experience includes the Univer
 sity of Manitoba\, University of Toronto\, and has published numerous scho
 larly articles and book chapters on Indigenous knowledge integration. \n\n
