Her research interest lies in scientific education\, and her pr oject aims to promote awareness around white matter diseases as well as to give prospective students the image skills necessary to interpret them on MRI. In her free time\, Joyce enjoys writing fiction\, running around the canal\, painting and sharing recipes with friends! She also spends a lot of time losing at Mario Kart\, though that’s less enjoyable.\n\nAbstract\n \nIn the past two decades\, neuroimaging has become central to neuroscienc e research and clinical work. However\, in a recent survey we developed\, many neuroscience graduate and medical students at our University reported receiving little to no formal neuroimaging training in their curriculum. Launched by students of the La Piana lab\, the overarching goal of BIE is to create open opportunities for students to be introduced to the basics o f brain MRI\, within and beyond the Neuro community. The target audience i s any student with an interest in brain MR images with no previous trainin g in this area\, regardless of where they are in the world.\n\n \n\nVisit the event web page for more information.\n\nTo book a free one-on-one with Joyce\, contact the Open Science Office Hours team.\n\nContact:\n osoh.neu ro [at] mcgill.ca\n  \n\nOpen Science Office Hours (OSOH) is an initiative of the Tanenbaum Open Science Institute (TOSI)\, led by Neuro trainees\, a nd supported by the McConnell Foundation and the TOSI Trainee Council. We organize events\, provide one-on-one support\, and curate resources to mak e it easy for neuroscience researchers at all levels to integrate Open Sci ence practices in their work.\n DTSTART:20250430T193000Z DTEND:20250430T203000Z LOCATION:Montreal Neurological Institute\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 2B4\, 3 801 rue University SUMMARY:Open Science Office Hours - – Brain Imaging Essentials URL:/medhealthsci-gradstudies/channels/event/open-scie nce-office-hours-brain-imaging-essentials-364980 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
