Current research: 

Research Interests

Pandemic and emerging viruses, host antiviral responses and HIV cure.

Research Orientations

  1. Viral pathogenesis mechanisms including viral antagonization of host antiviral innate and adaptive immune responses;
  2. Molecular mechanisms of the assembly and production of infectious virus particles with focus on HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2;
  3. Antiviral therapeutics including small molecules and RNA medicine, one of goals is to discover the cure of latent HIV infection.
