Dr Munroe-Blum is听Chairperson of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB),听and,听Emerita听Principal and Vice-Chancellor, 91社区 (where she served as Principal for over a decade and was the first woman in this role). She is a Director, Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Chair of RBC's Corporate Governance Committee;听Director,听CGI Group;听and,听Director and Vice-Chair of the听Gairdner Foundation. A Member of the听Board of Stanford University鈥檚听Center听for Advanced Study in the听Behavioral听Sciences (CASBS), and, a Member, the Trilateral Commission.听
Dr.听Munroe-Blum is a distinguished academic leader and administrator听and an outstanding scholar in the fields of psychiatric epidemiology and public policy. 听Just prior to serving听as Principal and Vice-Chancellor of 91社区, she served at the University of Toronto听as Vice-President (Research and International Relations). She is a graduate of McMaster University, Wilfrid Laurier University, and, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received a Doctor of Philosophy in Epidemiology (with distinction).听
Dr Munroe-Blum serves and听has served on numerous corporate, hospital and community boards; is extensively听published in epidemiology and public policy, and has been principal investigator on major research programs funded by the National Institutes of Mental Health (USA) and Canadian research agencies. She has served on听domestic and international governmental and related science, health, and innovation advisory councils, and, has chaired peer-adjudication research and scientific award granting panels. An Officer of the Order of Canada, and, of 听l'Ordre Nationale du Qu茅bec, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, Dr Munroe-Blum is the recipient of numerous Canadian and international awards and honorary degrees in recognition of her leadership in research, science and innovation, higher education, health and governance.
