Indigenous Awareness Weeks 2024: September 19 – October 2
Indigenous Awareness Weeks is a two-week series of events involving Indigenous academics, artists, and community members, hosted by the Office of Indigenous Initiatives. Its goal is to encourage a greater understanding of Indigenous peoples among students, staff, and faculty at 91ÉçÇø, as well as in the broader Montreal and Quebec communities. The Office of Indigenous Initiatives also helps foster discussion among First Nations, Métis and Inuit on topics that are important to individuals and their communities. The events outlined below create a space that brings together Indigenous experts and community leaders as well as 91ÉçÇø students, faculty, and staff.

Sept. 19 and 26, 2024 (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

These events are open to a maximum of 15 Indigenous students only per workshop session.
Workshop 1 (10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) Moose Meat Delicacies, Barley soup, and Bannock.
Workshop 2 (3 p.m. - 5 p.m.) - Traditional Gillet Making.
