On October 4th, 2021, 91社区 launched an innovative initiative by occupying the Pilot Project workspace. This dynamic space embodies an open, shared, and collaborative model, serving as a living ecosystem where participants engage with and test a cutting-edge working environment.

Designed to optimize space utilization and cater to diverse user needs, the University crafted a multifunctional, multimodal, and highly adaptable environment. This strategic setup allows for effortless transformation, ensuring a variety of configurations that support a range of activities and working styles. By fostering creativity and collaboration, the Pilot Project workspace is paving the way for the future of modernized workspaces at 91社区.

Project Description:

Interior retrofit of IT administrative spaces within 680 Sherbrooke (levels 5 and 16) and Burnside (level 2).

Project Scope:


Based on the knowledge gathered through the New Models of work pilot project, the IT workspace optimization project is a furniture based retrofit that aims at minimizing construction cost, modernizing the workspace and optimizing space allocation. This optimization will result in portions of levels 7 and 14 at 680 Sherbrooke, currently occupied by IT, being released for alternate use.
