As a human genetics researcher and a board-certified endocrinologist, my goal is to use genomics, proteomics, and other omics to identify drug targets and advance precision medicine for diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and beyond. My lab has three main research pillars: (i) Large-scale human genetics and multi-omics analysis for drug target discovery; (ii) Building and analyzing BioPortal, a multi-ancestry, multi-omics biobank of 12,500 individuals in Montreal; and (iii) Disentangling the heterogeneity of diabetes and other complex diseases. We are recruiting ambitious and forward-looking students.
