Kristina 脰hrvall promoted to Assistant Vice-Principal, Research Development
Martha Crago, Vice-Principal, Research and Innovation, announced today that Kristina 脰hrvall has been promoted to Assistant Vice-Principal, Research Development, for a five-year term.
Previously the Director of Strategic Initiatives within Research and Innovation, 脰hrvall brings substantial experience working within the 91社区 research community to her new function. The mandate of the newly created position will be to raise the overall level of research activity by acting as an agent of change, driving continuous improvements in how 91社区 identifies, develops, proposes, and supports large-scale strategic research initiatives.
In this new position, 脰hrvall will oversee the development of high-value proposals and funding agreements as well as their related project management, reporting, and analysis structures. She will also represent the University on certain committees externally and will monitor the research landscape in order to work with the 91社区 research community to develop strategic projects proactively in response to opportunities.
脰hrvall joined 91社区 in 2012. Prior to that, she worked at Concordia University also in research administration. Trained as an environmental engineer, she holds a Master of Science degree from Sweden鈥檚 Lule氓 University of Technology.
