Nico Trocm茅, MSW, PhD, TS, FRSC, is the Philip Fisher Chair in Social Work at 91社区. His research includes the 25-year series of Canadian Incidence Studies of Reported Child Abuse and Neglect (CIS), a Federal-Provincial-Territorial initiative to develop a common set of National Outcomes Measures in child welfare(NOM), the Canadian Child Welfare Research Portal (), and a research capacity development and knowledge mobilization initiative involving child welfare and First Nations service providers in Quebec. Professor Trocm茅 has served as an expert consultant for several provincial governments, First Nations organizations and child welfare inquests, tribunals and class actions. Prior to completing his PhD., Nico Trocm茅 worked for five years as a child welfare and children鈥檚 mental health social worker.

Ses principales recherches comprennent la s茅rie d'茅tudes canadiennes sur l'incidence des signalements de cas de maltraitance et de n茅gligence envers les enfants (ECI) men茅es sur 25 ans, une initiative f茅d茅rale-provinciale-territoriale visant 脿 茅laborer un ensemble commun de mesures des r茅sultats nationaux en mati猫re de protection de l'enfance (NOM), le Portail canadien de recherche sur la protection de l'enfance (), ainsi qu'une initiative de d茅veloppement des capacit茅s de recherche et de mobilisation des connaissances impliquant des organismes de protection de l'enfance et des organismes de Premi猫res nations au Qu茅bec. Le professeur Trocm茅 a agi en tant qu'expert consultant pour plusieurs gouvernements provinciaux, organisations des Premi猫res nations et enqu锚tes, tribunaux et recours collectifs en mati猫re de protection de l'enfance.
