Prof. Brossard-Racine鈥檚 research program aims to understand the underlying mechanisms of function and dysfunction in children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Her research approach combines advanced quantitative Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques with clinically relevant standardized evaluations to promote early detection of non-optimal brain and/or functional development in at-risk pediatric populations. Central to her program is the search for biomarkers of dysfunction as well as for effective intervention strategies that will enhance brain recovery, support the child鈥檚 healthy development and inform service delivery.
Research Keywords: child developmental, neurodevelopmental disorders, neuroimaging, plasticity, brain injury, early-intervention, behaviour, motor skills.
