Second largest of the 91ÉçÇø Library branches, the Schulich Library of Science and Engineering has historically provided resources and services to support research and teaching programs in engineering and the physical sciences. In the summer of 2013, the bulk of the collection formerly housed in the Life Sciences Library was moved to the Schulich Library such that it now also supports research and teaching in medicine, dentistry, and the natural sciences. The Library holds more than 300,000 books, journals, and other materials and provides access to an extensive collection of online resources, with thousands of electronic journals, e-books, and databases.

The Schulich Library of Science and Engineering has over 100 networked computer workstations, and the entire building is a 91ÉçÇø wireless zone. Within the library’s six floors are many options for both quiet and group study, and there are numerous uPrint machines on site for copying, printing, and scanning. The Library provides support for users with disabilities, including wheelchair access and an adaptive workstation. The Schulich Library staff includes ten subject-specialized liaison librarians who offer one-on-one research consultations, as well as a range of tours and workshops designed to help users effectively find, assess, and use information.

The following other branch libraries will be of interest to students in the Faculty of Engineering:

  • Blackader-Lauterman Library of Architecture and Art;
  • Macdonald Campus Library;
  • Edward Rosenthall Mathematics and Statistics Library.

Contact us by phone or email or visit the website to learn more about the Library's services, collections and facilities. We look forward to seeing you in the Library.
