This concentration was developed to expose graduate-level nurses to instructional and learning theory, in order to better equip them to lead the movement towards more innovative and effective pedagogical approaches in training nurses working in health care establishments or nursing students in academic settings.

NUR2 515 Applied Statistics for Nursing (3 credits)
Overview
Nursing : Principles of data analysis and statistical inference with an emphasis on the utilization and interpretation of analysis of variance and regression procedures in nursing research. An additional emphasis will be on critiquing data analysis in current nursing research articles.

The fee was approved at the recent Fee Advisory Committee @ 23.00 for two pins; and $11.50 for one pin. The increase for the pin is due to an increase in the supplier’s base rate by $0.25, tax increases that were previously absorbed by the department.

NUR2 622 Nursing Education Internship (4 credits)
Overview
Nursing : This course aims at promoting a better understanding of the role of nurse educators. This clinical placement focuses on acquiring the competencies (personal attributes, skills, and knowledge) required to be an effective nurse educator. This course will provide an opportunity for the student to apply and integrate knowledge of instructional and learning theory to their teaching practice.

Overview
Nursing : Writing study findings from course NUR2 631 in the form of a paper for publication that should include: abstract, literature review, study purpose, methods, results and discussion.
