Minor in Environment

The Minor in Environment is intended to complement an expertise obtained through a major, major concentration, Faculty program, or Inter-Faculty program offered by an academic unit other than the MSE*. Students taking the Minor in Environment are exposed to different approaches, perspectives, and world views that will help them gain an understanding of the complexity and conflicts that underlie environmental problems.

Students, after consulting with their adviser in their major program or concentration and the MSE Program Adviser, can declare their intention to do a Minor in Environment.

* Note: Students in Arts, Law, and Management should complete the Minor Concentration Environment. Students in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Engineering, and Science should complete the Minor Environment.

To obtain a Minor Concentration Environment, students must complete 18 credits outside the discipline or field of their major program or concentration from the courses listed under Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) - Minor Concentration Environment (18 credits) in this publication.
