Unit processes for both wastewater and solids-handling trains. Advanced mathematical modeling to describe suspended-growth and attached-growth multispecies bioreactors for aerobic, anaerobic and phototrophic processes. Microbial diversity in different reactor conditions, and specific population metabolisms explaining important stoichiometries and kinetics.
