Program Requirements
The MA in Anthropology; Non-Thesis provides an intensive, course-based training in the fundamentals of anthropological theory and methodology over three semesters. The program is designed as a rigorous and comprehensive preparation for subsequent specialization in sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, or medical anthropology at the PhD level.

ANTH 690 Research Paper 1 (6 credits)
Overview
Anthropology : Production of a research paper that will explore a clearly defined problem, show familiarity with the most important work previously done in the field, and demonstrate the ability to carry out research, organize results and present them. The paper must demonstrate the candidate's ability to do independent work at the graduate level in a particular field of anthropology. It is devoted to research design and bibliographical research.
