MUJZ 326 Jazz Vocal Improvisation 4 (3 credits)

Overview

Jazz Studies : Fundamental concepts of jazz vocal improvisation and its use and application in standard jazz repertoire, with an emphasis on ear training, performance, harmonic analysis, language development and applied musicianship. Classic and contemporary jazz standard repertoire will be the focus.
