Biography: 

During his residency, he was committed to both advancing the field of Plastic Surgery and academia by pursing a Master's Degree in Surgical Education, receiving two coveted grants: The Canadian Institute of Health Research Frederick Banting and Charles Best Scholarship award, as well as the Surgeon Scientist award from the Re虂gie de l鈥檃ssurance maladie du Que虂bec (RAMQ). Throughout his residency, for his dedication to teaching, research and work ethic, he was awarded 91社区 Ross Adair Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence, Harvey Brown Award for Research in Plastic Surgery, and the 91社区 Plastic Surgery Benjamin Shore Prize for Outstanding Performance and Professionalism Award, being the only resident to win the award twice. This excellence followed him during his fellowship, where he was the first

Canadian to win the Joseph G. McCarthy Visiting Scholar Award, given out to 1 Craniofacial Fellow a year.

Dr. Zammit has published a large number of peer-review articles and presented his work at numerous regional, national and international scientific meetings. His research interests include improving patient outcomes using 3D printing and Augmented Reality for the purpose of optimizing virtual surgical planning, operative efficiency/technique, and post-operative outcomes.
