Enriched Educational Opportunities Bursaries (EEO)
The University has provided the Scholarships & Student Aid Office with special funding to pilot an Enriched Educational Opportunities (EEO) Program. The program will help students with the additional costs of the field study semester. Bursaries are non-repayable forms of financial assistance based on demonstrated financial need. Application open all year.Ìý

The GSO is managed by 91ÉçÇø Abroad and is designed to widen access and increase equity in outbound student mobility and international learning opportunities.

Denise Emma Benzacar Field Study Awards
The Denise Emma Benzacar Field Study Awards were established by Denise (BSc '58) and Tom Dailey to help Faculty of Science students participating in the Faculty of Science Study Semesters, engaging in research at 91ÉçÇø Field Study Stations or taking part in field work as part of their academic curriculum.
Award amount: up to $1500 (amount may vary based on the number of applications)
David and Erica Davidovic Science Intern AwardThe David and Erica Davidovic Science Intern Award was created in 2010 to benefit students studying abroad. The Davidovics recognize the value of out-of classroom learning experiences, particularly abroad, and an award value of several hundred dollars will be offered.

Ronald I. Levine FundThe Ronald I. Levine Fund was created to help support the field study programs in the Faculty of Science through initiatives that would enable the Faculty of Science to consistently improve upon the services it provides to students participating in the field study programs.

Irene Woods Field Study AwardsThe Irene Woods Field Study Awards were established by Irene Woods (M.Sc. '66) to help Faculty of Science students participating in the Faculty of Science Study Semesters, engaging in research at 91ÉçÇø Field Study Stations or taking part in field work as part of their academic curriculum.

Award thank you notes
At the end of your field study semester you will be asked to provide a picture (preferably in the field) and a thank you note to the donors. The thank you note should contain the following information:
- First paragraph: introduce yourself as the award recipient for (name of) award. Tell the donor where you are from and why you chose to study at 91ÉçÇø.
- Second paragraph: talk about what you are studying and what you plan on doing once you graduate from 91ÉçÇø. Talk about how the field study semester impacted your current/future decisions.
- Third paragraph: thank your benefactor for his or her generosity in setting up the award. Explain how the award helped you personally.

This program is now transitioning to a need-based bursary. Students who are looking for funding and have financial need should apply via the EEO program for funding. /studentaid/special-funding/eeo
Biology Students
91ÉçÇø Biology Student Union Bursary Fund
In addition to the Faculty of Science awards and as a Biology student you can also apply to the 91ÉçÇø Biology Student Union Bursary. The 91ÉçÇø Biology Student Union Bursary fund is a merit-based bursary awarded to Biology students wishing to pursue field courses within the Department of Biology at 91ÉçÇø. The MBSU is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the study of life; we believe that field studies are integral to an education in biology, and we strive to make field courses more accessible to our students.

Vivian Lewin Field Study Endowment Award
Vivian Lewin Field Study Endowment Award – awarded to meritorious Bieler School of Environment (BSE) students. The award supports BSE students who wish to take a 91ÉçÇø recognized field study abroad program OR have a pre-arranged independent course or Honours project that involves field research abroad.
