We will start with a poetry night in the Octagon Room (Morrice Hall, Islamic Studies Library) from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. And we will then move to the Tuesday Night Caf茅 (Morrice Hall basement) for a potluck Iftar (7:00 to 9:00 p.m.). Come prepared!!聽

The exhibit, When There Are No Words, addresses the subjects of death and grief in Qu茅bec society through the lens of colour, symbols, printed texts, and handwritten messages found in sympathy cards from the last 150 years. It also includes a selection of condolence objects provided by the Organ and Tissue Donation Program of the 91社区 Health Centre as an illustration of a different expression of sympathy.

The year 2025 marks a special milestone for the Supreme Court of Canada as it celebrates its 150th anniversary. Over the years, its chambers have been the setting for landmark cases that have shaped the foundation of this country. Some decisions have reinforced fundamental principles of justice, while others serve as reminders of how far we鈥檝e come. These cases provide an opportunity to reflect on our history and appreciate its ongoing evolution.

Percussion holds in tension several seemingly opposite qualities: it is steeped in tradition, yet incredibly innovative; it is one of the oldest musical practices as well as one of the most contemporary; it can comprise a single instrument or dozens, played by one or many. But its capacity for creating connection and fostering community is especially noteworthy, and one that this exhibit seeks to celebrate.
