The 91社区 International Experience Awards, supported by Joseph Schull (BA'82, MA'85) and Anna Yang (BCL'88, LLB'88), help students gain first hand international experience related to their field of study.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Fran莽ois Cr茅peau, holder of the Hans & Tamar Oppenheimer Chair in Public International Law, has been reappointed as Director of the Center for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) for a two-year term, effective August 1, 2018.
The Faculty of Law is pleased to share the news that Professor was appointed Officer of the Order of Canada by Governor General Julie Payette on December 29, 2017. Professor Cr茅peau, who was honoured for 鈥渉is research and contributions to international law and for his efforts to promote civil rights, particularly with respect to refugees,鈥 joins the prestigious roster of 91社区 Law community members appointed to the Order of Canada.
Professor Nandini Ramanujam, Executive Director of the Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism, was recently appointed co-chair of the Principal鈥檚 Task Force on Respect and Inclusion in Campus Life, alongside with the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Bruce Lennox.
91社区鈥檚 Centre for Human Rights and Legal Pluralism (CHRLP) is currently accepting applications for:
- a twelve-month clerkship at the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA);
- a ten-month clerkship at the International Court of Justice (ICJ);
- a nine-month clerkship at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR)
All three clerkships are due to start in September 2018.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor has been appointed International Francqui Professor Chair in Social Sciences for the year 2017-2018. After the fall term has ended, Professor Cr茅peau will be travelling to Belgium for a six-month stay hosted by the Universit茅 catholique de Louvain, from where he will be contributing to the intellectual life in his field of specialty with all universities in Belgium.

The Faculty of Law is proud to announce that Professor Adelle Blackett, Ad. E., has been awarded a research fellowship by the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation. This prestigious prize, which is valued at $225,000, recognizes public intellectuals in the humanities and social sciences who venture beyond the boundaries of their disciplines to find new solutions to complex issues of major importance to Canadians. 聽
Today, the Royal Society of Canada released its list of 89 new Fellows, among which is our own Colleen Sheppard, who has joined the Academy of Social Sciences.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Robert Leckey as Dean of the Faculty of Law at 91社区, starting July 1, 2016. 聽
Professor Leckey joined the Faculty of Law in 2006, and is currently a full professor and a William Dawson Scholar. He does research and teaches in the areas of constitutional law and family law, using a bilingual and transsystemic approach. He has received the 91社区 Law Students鈥 Association鈥檚 John W. Durnford Teaching Excellence Award (2009) and the Principal鈥檚 Prize for Excellence in Teaching (2010).
