This two-day intensive workshop presents introductory concepts in project management, with a particular focus on project initiation and planning, using the participant’s academic thesis as a sample project.

This workshop will be held in-person in the CaPS office, 3600 McTavish street, room 2200 in our Design Lab.

This workshop will demystify and explain the various forms of intellectual property (IP), namely, patents, industrial designs, copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets, and when they are used. We will then do some actual patent searching with our librarian April Colosimo using the DERWENT worldwide patent database.
