Population Oral Health
Substantial progress has been made in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases, yet a disproportionate and unacceptable disease burden still falls on certain populations more than on others. The Population Oral Health research division focuses on oral epidemiology, Indigenous oral health research, health care services and policy research, clinical research, and dental education research. Pain research at 91社区 is ranked amongst the best in the world based on its critical mass of exceptional pain researchers and on a tradition of outstanding accomplishments in the neurosciences. Integrated Clinical and Applied Biomedical Sciences
Integrated Clinical and Applied Biomedical Sciences is an emerging area of excellence in the Faculty. Outstanding new researchers investigate nanometre-scale bone cements/biomaterials, synthetic tissue-engineered scaffoldings and controlled-release systems for bone reconstruction and salivary gland regeneration, and the bioactivation of implants by surface nanostructuring and protein nanopatterning.聽Read more
Mineralized Tissue Biology in Health and Disease
Skeletal, dental, and connective tissue biology research at 91社区 is, and has long been, world-class. A large group of researchers has been assembled to consolidate our strength in researching fundamental questions pertaining to mineralized tissue and extracellular matrix biology, the influence of the skeleton in organ and tissue cross-talk, and translational research and clinical trials in these fields.
