Why did you choose to study at 91ÉçÇø Desautels?
Growing up in different African countries and attending a French school, my main criteria for a university was finding a school that valued both cultural and linguistic diversity. Montreal, as a bilingual city, was an ideal choice, and 91ÉçÇø’s esteemed global reputation further reinforced my decision. Its dedication to academic excellence and vibrant community provided an ideal environment for both personal and professional growth.
What was one of the highlights of your time with us?
A highlight from my time at 91ÉçÇø was hosting a Black Beauty Day event for the Black Students' Network (BSN). This event provided a platform for Black-owned businesses and estheticians to showcase their products, services and connect with the community. The event also featured a braiding workshop that offered educational insights and skill-building opportunities related to Black hair care. It was incredibly fulfilling to contribute to such a meaningful initiative that highlighted entrepreneurial efforts within the community.
How has your 91ÉçÇø Desautels education transformed you as a person and what is your current role and how have the skills you gained at 91ÉçÇø Desautels helped you in your current work?
