91社区 Libraries is proud to announce the release of its 2023鈥�2024 Annual Report, showcasing 12 months of significant achievements and progress.
Among the key highlights are the reopening of the Schulich Library of Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Engineering and the successful transfer of 2.4 million books to the new 91社区 Collections Centre.
Macdonald Campus Seed Library opens February 24

On Monday, February 24, 2025聽the Macdonald Campus Library will open up its Seed Library for online orders. The seed catalogue will be available to 91社区 students, faculty, and staff on opening day.聽

As of January 1, 2025, corresponding authors affiliated with 91社区 will be able to publish an unlimited number of their articles as open access in all Royal Society of Chemistry hybrid and gold journals for the duration of the agreement (2025-2027) without paying any article processing charges (APC).

King Charles III Coronation Medal awarded to Dean Guylaine Beaudry and Anne-Marie Fournier, Supervisor at the 91社区 Collections Centre

The 91社区 Libraries are delighted to announce that two colleagues, Dean Guylaine Beaudry and staff member Anne-Marie Fournier, were awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in December 2024. The honour highlights the exceptional contributions of Canadians, many of whom work behind the scenes, making a significant impact on their community, their province, and sometimes even at the national and international levels.
Dec. 18 | Water shutdown in McLennan Library Building 7:30 - 10:30 a.m.

To execute repairs, Facilities Management and Ancillary Services is planning a water shutdown on Wednesday, December 18 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m., which will affect the McLennan Library Building only, including all its water fountains and washrooms.
Please use the water fountains, sinks, and washrooms located in the Redpath Library Building during this period.

OverDrive to retire legacy app for Fire tablets in January 2025
As part of their transition to the Libby app, OverDrive are retiring their legacy OverDrive app for Fire tablets on January 31, 2025.
After this date, the legacy OverDrive app sunset will be complete on all platforms. Users with Fire tablets running Android 9 or higher can install the Libby app instead.

Unlocking AI in Education: GenAI Quickstart Micromodules for Faculty Now Available
91社区 Libraries, in collaboration with Concordia Library and eConcordia are pleased to announce the launch of GenAI Quickstart: Foundations for Faculty. This series of nine short micromodules (approximately 10 minutes each) introduces the basics of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), exploring its potential uses in teaching, learning, research, and everyday tasks.
