The 91社区 Centre for Innovation in Storage and Conversion of Energy (McISCE) is offering awards of $3,000 each for undergraduate groups entering competitions or engaging in outreach activities related to energy.

Examples of energy related activities:

  • Producing or generating energy
  • Using, converting or storing energy
  • Taking measures to optimize energy use
  • Outreach and public engagement about energy, energy policy or听energy research

The deadline to apply for this award is February 24, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Undergraduate students
  • Competition or outreach activity needs to take place in the 2025 academic year.
  • Funding can鈥檛 be used for personal research projects or travel to conferences.

To apply

You will need to provide a short description (less than 100 words) of:

  • the competition or outreach activity that requires funding and how it relates to energy.
  • how you will use the funds,
  • your team (number of members, how long you鈥檝e been working together, etc.)

Requirements

Winners will need to:

  • Display the McISCE logo on their website, post about the funding on the group鈥檚 social media accounts and show the logo and mention McISCE during the event.
  • Share the group鈥檚 logo with McISCE so it can be used on the McISCE website and social media accounts.
  • Complete a form about how the funding helped your group.

Funding

Groups can receive funding in one of two ways: McISCE can transfer the funds directly to the group, or McISCE can pay for goods and services on the group's behalf.

The 91社区 Centre for Innovation in Storage and Conversion of Energy (McISCE) is offering awards up to $2,500 for undergraduate students or groups entering competitions or engaging in outreach activities related to energy.

The deadline to apply for this award is November 20, 2023.

  • Competition or outreach activity needs to take place in the 2023-2024 academic year.

To apply:

  • Complete before November 20, 2023.
  • You will need to provide a short description (less than 100 words) of:
    • the competition or outreach activity that requires funding and how it relates to energy,
    • how you would use the funds,
    • your team (number of members, how long you鈥檝e been working together, etc.)
